The original story of Aladdin is a medieval Arabian folk tale in The Book of One Thousand and One Nights. Once upon the time, a poor tailor lived in a fortified town. He had a son, named Aladdin, who didnt like school and seemed to be a loafer.
When he was 10 his father wanted him to learn for a good job, but because he hadnt money he decided to teach him how to be a good tailor. But Aladdin wanted only to play with his friends from the neighborhood, so he couldnt stay a single day in his fathers workshop. On the contrary, instead of paying attention to his work, he would wait for the moment his father was out or talking to a client and scuttle away to play with his pals on the streets or in the gardens. This was the behavior of this neer-do-well who didnt want to obey his parents or to learn to become a tailor. Disappointed by his sons behavior, Aladdins father died after a great illness. This tragic event didnt cure Aladdin from his bad habits. The show begins with the moment when Aladdin is recruited by a sorcerer (who passes himself off as the brother of Aladdins late father) to retrieve a wonderful oil lamp from a booby-trapped magic cave. There follows a lot of funny adventures. The novelty is the perfect integration of digital technique in the structure of the show. The Book of One Thousand and One Nights consists of folk tales and stories collected over many centuries by various authors, translators and scholars. What is common throughout all the existing editions is the initial frame story of the ruler Shahryar and his wife Scheherazade. Some of the best-known stories are: Aladdins Wonderful Lamp, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor.
