He made his debut at the Animation Theatre in Bacau at the invitation of Petru Valter in 1973.
Since 1986 he has been artistic director at Tandarica Theatre where he directed a serious of notable performances which have been awarded at different festivals. In 1990 he becomes professor, teaching at the Puppet Theatre Section and also at the directing class of the Academy of Theatre and Film, Bucharest.

Between 1979-1986 he is director at the Puppet Theatre of Constantza. In this period he creates in this theatre and in many other theatres around the country (Galatzi, Ploiesti, Timisoara, Craiova, Braila) a series of performances which make him famous and bring him a serious of international prizes (Zagreb, The Big Prize, 1981 for METAMORPHOSIS - Constantza, Zagreb - Special Prize of the Jury- SANZIANA AND PEPELEA, Galatzi, 1982) and prizes at national festivals.
He was awarded ATM Prizes for the best puppet performance of the years 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, numerous prizes for theaters directions and performances (more than 30). He has written many plays for puppet performances, radio scripts, he has created the set design for many performances.
